Information System

Information system (IS) are important to you for a variety of reason. First, information system and information technologies are integral to your life. Second, the IS field offers many career opportunities. Finally, all functional areas in an organization.

Information Systems and Information Technologies are Integral to Your Lives
There are many examples of how information system and technologies are embedded in your lives. For example, think of all the things you can do online:
  • Register for classes.
  • Take classes, and not just classes from your university.
  • Access class syllabi, information, Power Point and lectures
  • Research class papers and presentations.
  • Conduct banking.
  • Pay your bills.
  • Research, shop, and buy product from companies or other people.
  • Sell your "stuff"
  • Search for, and apply for, job.
  • Make your travel reservations (hotel, airline, rental car)
In addition to all the activities you can perform online, there are other examples of how information systems and information technologies are essential for your daily living. For example, you may not use a regular wireline telephone. Rather, you use a smartphone that has a calender,  an address book, a calculator, a digital camera and several types of software to download music and movies. This phone enables you to seamlessly switch between different wireless modes (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, cellular, and/or Wi-Max) to communicate by voice, e-mail, instant messaging, and text messaging.

Going further, you have your own blog, and you post your own podcast and video casts to it. You have your own page on Facebook. You make and upload videos to YouTube (now Google Video). You take, edit, and print your own digital photograph. You use RSS feeds to create your personal electronic newspaper. The list goes on.

The disadvantage of Fast Food

More easily processed food or fast food called bad for your health. This is because it contains little nutritional value. If you enjoy a meal made occasionally, the food was less harmful. But if too often taken, it can cause adverse effects in terms of nutrition.

Without realizing it, it will expose the individual to various diseases. Among them is tooth decay, constipation, obesity and high blood pressure, clogged arteries, heart disease or even colon cancer.
What food manakan process or instant? Was immediately processed foods or food components that can be eaten directly without cooking it first. He probably canned food, western food-based dietary pattern such as burgers and hot dogs, frozen food and so on.
The need for fast food is becoming apparent today because people are more likely to move quickly at all times. Workloads and want to do everything quickly led some people to make fast food as an option. After all this fast food is relatively easy to realize. Just visit any of the restaurants 'fast food', a favorite snack and less than five minutes meal will come directly to the table.
For canned or frozen, the public can buy them in bulk at the supermarket. If there is no time, food was opened and eaten directly or heated for a while. In less than two minutes, the food can be directly touched. Unlike the usual way done, we take no less than a half hour to start cook rice, pounding and frying fish sauce.

Many fast-food additives
One reason why fast food is bad for your health because of excessive aditifnya content. Additives are chemicals added to food and medicines to improve quality, increase comfort and improve vitality. The use of additives actually began over hundreds of years ago. Additives that act as a dye was used to give a yellow color to the butter since the 14th century again.
Another example is the additive mixture of substances named initials "E", such as E101 (Riboflavin), E123 (Amaranth), E211 (sodium benzoate), E249 (potassium nitrite), E322 (lecithin) and others. In addition, fast food, they often contain many flavors such as monosodium glutamate (MSG). Originally, this material is separated from a type of seaweed. Now MSG can be derived from starch, sugar, maize, sugar cane or beet bit. Side effects commonly associated with MSG are diverse. The signs of this syndrome including hot flushes in the neck and behind the body, and feelings of anxiety in the chest and face. However, scientific studies failed to prove that all these disorders directly caused by MSG. Instead the study found that adverse side effects experienced only a few users who are allergic to MSG. Thus the fixed MSG is considered safe and suitable for use as food additives.

Excess Fat
In addition, fast food is popular with excessive fat. For example, a burger containing 35% or more fat. Meanwhile, chips, said in an advantageous properties of the tire is made from white refined flour but it is soaked in fat, saturated fat typically promote heart disease between 11 and 16 g fat. For cheese adorned on food, it means that more fat. In fact, it is not real cheese but cheese bits mixed with salt, sugar, pengemuisi, lactic acid, preservatives, colorings and other additives. Excess fat and salt may also cause high blood pressure and other diseases related to it.

No Substance
Many people do not realize that fast food contains only very few calories and no nutrients. It is capable of filling the stomach and provide fuel for use by the body. For children, empty calories as a snack food can cause lack of appetite for other foods that have a lot of nutrients and is needed by the body. Children need to avoid eating sweet foods such as cakes, sweets, sugar and water syrup, carbonated beverages because it contains no calories.
This food is just filling their stomachs, and this causes them to reject manakan other nutritious.
To show you the actual content of fast food, snacks listed here (snacks) as your regular messages in a restaurant:
Burger meat:Contains 4 grams of pure fat. It provides protein, iron, vitamin B12. Little fiber, but many chemical additives.

Fried Chicken:Rich in fat (about 60% of calories derived from fat). Many salt. It provides protein, niacin and vitamin B6. Menyalutkannya materials contain MSG and chemical dyes.

French fries:
Potatoes provide protein and vitamin C. Too much fat and salt. The color gold is a fake.

Milk shakes;
Milk is mixed with air and water. This process requires chemical thickening, stabilizing and pengemuisi. It also contains a flavoring and coloring chemicals. Milk provides protein and calcium and eight teaspoons of sugar in a container of average size.

Kola-based drinks:
It is very rich in sugar (large container contains 14 teaspoons of sugar. Dyes chemical and caffeine. The food is empty.

Salt:
On average a person memeriukan not more than five grams or one teaspoon per day. Most of this amount found in food naturally. According to a study by the London Food Commission, a burger can contain two to three grams of salt.

Sugar:
Most fast food is very sweet. Aspartame is a low calorie sweetener, it has been reported harmful side effects
to consumers. But the continuous observation of the Food and Drug Administration United States for over ten years failed to obtain evidence about the impact of this hazard. Similarly, with some food additives are mixed into a snack for children and adolescents.

Fiber:
Fiber contained in fruits, vegetables, whole grains and beans, which plays an important role in the stomach. Some fiber prevents constipation, or both in the absorption of cholesterol, thus helping to reduce cholesterol in the blood. It also helps prevent heart disease and some cancers, especially colon. Fast food and processed so much that it almost does not contain fiber. Fiber is found in fish and chicken burgers. Ban is usually less fiber, if it is white and sweet. Only tires that contain only pieces of lettuce that contain little fiber.

Vitamins and minerals:
Do not be fooled by claims about vitamins and minerals in the fast food. It is true that the materials contained therein, but not enough since a large amount of fat, salt and calories you eat at the same time. There is little iron in the burger, cheese and calcium in milk, vitamin C in potato chips. However, the content of all these nutrients is not enough and too little.

In conclusion, fast food is not the best food choices for the content that is not nutritious. Instead, we are all encouraged to eat fresh foods such as fruits and vegetables are not cooked long. This is more healthful and good for human health in the long run.
